Ladybirds

This week in Ladybirds we have got stuck into lots of painting for our parents Christmas surprises from their little Ladybirds. Our theme of the week was noise and we have enjoyed jingle bell painting (with bells!) as well as playing with plenty of musical instruments and lots of singing! We also made some yummy mince pies.

Next week our theme of the week is Christmas Fun!! Santa will pay us a visit on Monday and we are really looking forward to a lovely Christmas tea party on Wednesday. We will make some crowns to wear and get stuck into a lot more festive fun!

Butterflies

This week in Butterflies we have been making lots of Christmas decorations to hang up in our room! This has involved lots of messy creative play with paint and other messy fun resources.

Next week we will be enjoying a visit from Santa as well as a Christmas tea party on Wednesday including some fun festive games! There will also be plenty of Christmas related craft and activities this week.

Bumblebees

This week in Bumblebees we have been super busy making crackers and some wonderful Christmas trees. We also got busy in the kitchen baking delicious gingerbread men! Yum!

Next week we will be making candy cane decorations and stars! We will also be decorating our super Christmas jumpers!

Dragonflies

The letter of the week is Gg and number 13, the shape is oval and the colour dark green.

This week we turned our role play area into a wonderful Santa’s Grotto. The children spent lots of time in there and have written some lovely letters to Father Christmas. We have all helped decorate the room and have really enjoyed lots of Christmassy Crafts.

Next week we have our amazing Nativity performance (the children have done SO well in rehersals we are really looking forward to it) as well as lots of Christmas surprises to get excited about. We might even get a special visit!

Ladybirds

This week in Ladybirds our theme of the week was sensory fun! We have enjoyed baked bean play, made some sensory bags and filled them with hair gel, paint, pasta and oats! We have also got stuck into messy gloop play, crazy foam and lots more messy play. The little Ladybirds have also loved fruit painting along with sticking and gluing in particular this week.

Next week our theme of the week is noise! We will be making paint brushes with bells on as musical instruments as well as making our own musical shaker, engaging in crunchy snow play and a lot more exciting activities. We will also start making our Christmas cards and presents for mummies and daddies as well as some Christmas fun activities.

Butterflies

This week in Butterflies we have been doing lots of physical activities such as playing games with the parachute, action songs and mark making activities. We have also started our Christmas fun and arts and crafts, ready to start decorating the room to get into the Christmas spirit! We have been creating things like snowman footprints, decorating snowflakes and reindeer.

Next week we will be starting to put all our wonderful Christmas creations up and prepare a Christmas display.

Bumblebees

The Bumblebees loved making real cups of tea this week (with cooled water!) especially as we enjoyed them with a yummy biscuit. We have also been very busy making and creating some lovely Christmas gifts and art work.

Next week we will be starting to make beautiful Christmas boards and creating lots of art work to hang and decorate the room with.

Dragonflies

This week Dragonflies have been practising for our nativity play and doing really well. We have also started making Christmas pictures and making some winter stockings. We also really enjoyed cooking this week and made delicious gingerbread. Singing Christmas songs and partaking in some excellent dancing with the lovely music lady was also a highlight of the week!
