To all our fantastic families,
As you are aware we hold an Inset Day once a year so staff are able to update and complete important further training. This is a requirement now been put in place by Ofsted and just to remind you our next INSET day will be on Wednesday 14th February. The nursery will need to be CLOSED for this day.
Any queries, please come and have a chat with Clare, Annie or Sophie.
Thanks for your understanding and cooperation,

Ladybirds
This week we have been enjoying our religious and cultural themed week. The little Ladybirds have made salt dough candle holders which we will be decorating next week. We also loved tissue paper play to celebrate Holi Festival of Colours as well as getting stuck into some fruit messy play!
Next week we are really looking forward to our colourful theme week! We will be making rainbows, having colourful messy play, creating a vibrant new display and having lots of multi-coloured fun!
Butterflies
This week we have had lots of fun making various animals with lots of different materials. The Butterflies have made crabs with their handprints, jellyfish with glue and tissue paper and also some cotton bud painting to make fish. We have also been exploring our natural objects by making a Gruffalo tray and looking at materials we would find in the woods.
Next week we are looking at jungle animals! Raaaaah!
Bumblebees
This week has been so much fun in Bumblebees, we have had a dinosaur week! During our dinotastic week we loved dinosaur painting, dino ice play and created and played with a dinosaur mud land! We have also been looking at our numbers by singing different number songs.
Next week we will be having an under the sea theme and will have different sea related activities every day.
Dragonflies
The letter of the week was Jj and the number 19, the colour was red and shape was hexagon.
We are almost up to 20 in our numbers and the children are really getting to grips with counting that far. We made some scrumptious cookies this week and welcomed Amy to the room – she has been amazing!
Next week we will be making some yummy shortbread and changing our role play into something very fun for Chinese New Year – watch this space!
Could we please remind all parents to regularly look at their child’s online learning books. It would be wonderful if you could make comments and upload pictures of what your little ones have been up to at home as this gives us an overall picture of what your child’s interests are and what they have been up to over the weekends and at home.
Thank you!
