Ladybirds
This week we have had a fantastic Summer Fete themed week! Our bonny babies have enjoyed lucky dip with shredded paper, ice-cream play and egg and spoon balancing! We also got stuck into junk modelling and lots of mark making.
Next week is our Shape week and we will be doing lots of creative play exploring shapes as well as getting messy!
Butterflies
This week in Butterflies we have been looking at different textures as well as what happens when we put things in water, in cornflour, playdough and when we make marks. We have also been getting creative for our Father’s Day boards.
Next week we will be looking at colours and enjoying lots of colourful activities!
Bumblebees
In Bumblebees this week we have been exploring the story of Jack and the Beanstalk for our theme and have been incorporating lots of maths into our activities. Thank you to our parents for coming to our Father’s Day breakfast, we had a wonderful turnout and a great time!
Next week our theme is Three Little Pigs and we will also be talking about emotions and in what ways we can be kind to our friends.
Dragonflies
The letter of the week is G, number 13, colour dark green and shape is an oval.
This week we have been looking at summer and have been colouring pictures and using textured materials to make super seaside pictures. We have also been making papier-mâché dinosaur eggs as we very much enjoy playing with and talking about dinosaurs and they are an excellent example of our shape of the week!
It was so lovely to see so many fabulous fathers at our Father’s Day breakfast last Saturday!
