Ladybirds
This week in ladybirds we’ve had a ‘bug’ filled week! We’ve made lovely bug pictures, explored bug books, built bug house and even hunted the bug from the sticky jelly, we loved getting messy and stuck in! We’ve made the most of the garden this week exploring the different resources and wrapping up warn in the cold mornings and even using the tents and tunnels!
Next week our theme of the week is looking at the different season changes, making different season pictures, making nests, handprint hedge hogs, stick pictures and lots more.
Butterflies
This week in our butterflies we have continued with our autumn theme. We’ve made beautiful autnm themed pictures and have created a beautiful display. We’ve also had our chef hats on this week and got stuck into some cooking, preparing of the bake off we made cheese straws and biscuits.
Next week we will be looking at nature, exploring with different natural objects and looking at the things around us. We will be looking at where animals live and making some beautiful art work as well as reading lots of books on nature and animals.
Bumblebees
In bumblebees this we we’ve had some amazing autumn activies, be brought some natural objects in such as sticks to create stick men and made a real portrait of the stick man!
We’ve also become little chefs this week, learning to make cheese straws and talking about where our food comes from. Learning about where cheese comes from!
With our little pre school bee’s we’ve worked really hard on our letter, number, shape and colour of the week. We’ve also spent some time using the smartboard to learn our phonics.
Next week:
We will be venturing into looking into haloween, starting to get a little spooky and start to make some beautiful art work ready to transform our room into a haloween house.
Little pre schools number will be 8, letter will be E, Colour will be Black, Star!
Dragonflies
Last week we celebrated harvest Festival at the church with the children – it was a lovely service and the children performed beautifully.
We became little investigates this week, For our science experiments we made some floating paper flowers and had a go at growing crystals from sugar, water and colouring – with some success! This week we have been talking about Autumn and all the changes that we will see in nature. We have planted some alfalfa seeds on different materials and will be watching with interest to see which side grows the best. The children are practicing changing into their PE kits and have been running races in the garden
Next week we will continue with our Autumn theme doing some leaf rubbings and going on an Autumn walk.
