A warm home from home…
Our air-conditioned Ladybird room is dedicated to our littlest Bell House members, babies from 3 months to 15 months approximately. The room is self-contained to make it feel like home with its own milk kitchen, separate sleep room and nappy changing area. It has a warm cosy feeling and includes a fantastic sensory room with its stimulating lights and textures for the children to explore.
We very much follow home routines with regard to feeding and sleeping to help the children feel relaxed and at home within the room. We continue the weaning process under individual parental guidance and offer fully weaned babies a wide variety of foods to try.
We focus on the 3 prime areas of development in the Early Years Foundation Stage which are Personal, Social and Emotional Development, Physical Development and Communication and Language
Our focus for our babies is to provide them with stimulating activities to explore and we support them to become confident, mobile, and reassured little individuals. As they grow with us, we support them with transitions to our Butterfly room as they become developmentally ready for their next challenge.
We have a separate garden area from the older rooms that we share with the toddler room (Butterflies) and set up daily. The garden area is mainly astro turf which means we can use the garden in all weathers.
