Ladybirds
This week in Ladybirds our theme of the week has been zoo animals! We have created a zoo tray, lion masks and a lovely 5 little ducks display. We have also enjoyed animal painting and been playing with our zoo puppets! The babies have also enjoyed exploring the garden and getting in a lot of water play.
Next week our theme is story books! We will be making our own books and different tuff trays.
Butterflies
This week we have been looking at different shapes and getting stuck into shape printing with paint, exploring different shaped ice play, making structures with magnetic shapes and looking through shape books and puzzles. We have also gone a walk to feed the ducks and to our lovely local band stand!
Next week we will be looking at different animals to follow on from our zoo trip to Marwell!
Bumblebees
This week we have been making rockets, singing spaceship songs, creating aliens and getting involved with lots of cutting using child scissors – excellent for motor skill development!
Next week we are looking forward to drawing skeletons! We will be looking at big and small skeletons.
Dragonflies
The letter of the week is L, number 16, colour is gold and shape a star.
This week we have been practising our songs for our graduation ceremony! Our ceremony on Thursday was emotion and lovely – we will miss our little school ready Dragonflies so much! We hope all the families that attended also enjoyed it. We have also been looking at seasons this week and planting our sunflowers for us to watch them and measure their growth.
Next week we will be focusing on reading!
