Ladybirds
This week in Ladybirds our theme of the week has been Chinese New Year and we have made some lovely little dragons, had great fun with sensory noodle play. We also got creative and made Chinese lanterns. As always, the Ladybirds have been outside a lot this week in the garden and we’ve all been enjoying some fresh, crisp, wintery air (come on Spring, nearly here!)
Next week in Ladybirds our new theme of the week is World Book Day and we will be dressing up as our favourite nursery rhyme character/ theme. We are looking forward to making Incy Wincy Spider pictures, Twinkle Little Stars and lots more nursery rhyme themed activities. We will also be doing a little something to celebrate St David’s Day.
Butterflies
This week the Butterflies have really enjoyed getting stuck into lots of messy play activities! Additionally, we have really loved dancing to music as well as particularly exploring cars in paints.
Next week we will continue to explore our theme of transport and we will be dressing up for World Book Day! We look forward to seeing all the lovely costumes!
Bumblebees
This week in Bumblebees we have been continuing with our amazing animal theme. The littles ones have been enjoying gluing and sticking animals, sensory sand play with dinosaurs as well as super fun safari role play!
Next week we will be starting our new theme “Spring Into Spring” to welcome the new, hopefully warmer (although not next week for sure!) season!
Dragonflies
The letter of the week was Q and the number 23, the colour was blue and the focus shape was a circle.
This week we have started to learn more about Spring, in particular how the flowers bloom and animals, like chick and lambs, are born. We have also enjoyed a very messy week with loads of different messy play activities every day!
Next week is a big week for Dragonfles…we collect our chick eggs on Tuesday and we are really looking forward to World Book Day on Thursday – don’t forget to try and dress up – we can’t wait to see all the super costumes!
