Ladybirds
This week in Ladybirds we have been exploring Autumn colours and textures. We used leaves and sticks as our paintbrushes to make our Autumnal masterpieces. Our pictures look beautiful and we are very proud of them. We used oranges, greens, browns and yellows and had lots of fun mixing them up.
Next week we will looking at the Harvest festival celebration, singing our Harvest Festival songs and exploring different foods in our craft and sensory play.
Butterflies
This week in Butterflies we began our Autumn theme. We have been using dark Autumn colours, leaf painting and talking about the changes in the weather around us. We think the weather is getting colder and we are wearing our coats when we come in first thing in the morning.
Next week we will continue with the Autumn theme and getting out on an Autumn walk, seeing early signs of Autumn, collecting our own leaves to use in our craft activities and generally enjoying the fresh air!
Bumblebees
This week all of the Bumblebees have been looking at rhythm and music and getting our bodies moving! We really enjoyed playing musical statues and showed our teachers good listening ears by freezing when the music stopped. We also played musical bumps which was lots of fun too because we had to sit down as soon as the music stopped.
Next week we will be doing more weather based activities to get us ready for the change in the seasons form Summer to Autumn and talking about the colder weather and what we wear.
Dragonflies
This week we have been practicing for our Harvest Festival Celebration and singing all about the different vegetables that grow in the garden. We have been practicing how to sing loudly and quietly at different parts of the songs. A warm welcome to all the Bumblebee pre-schoolers that have moved through too!
Next week we will continue with our Harvest Festival Celebration that is happening on the 20th September at St Pauls and Peters Church in Godalming.
