Ladybirds
This week was Valentine’s themed week and we had so much fun heart stamping, dabber painting with red paint and a red sensory ice tray!
We are really looking forward to our garden theme week next week! The Ladybirds will be spending as much time outside (let’s keep the Spring weather up please!!) as possible exploring the garden. We will also have garden theme crafts with egg cup daffodils and fork painting tulips!
Butterflies
We have loved our loved up Valentine’s week this week! The Butterflies enjoyed the Valentine’s disco we held every day and as well as getting creative with Valentine potato printing. We also loved sensory play this week with a lentil tray and cornflour gloop!
Next week we are excited about holding a tea party in the role play area as well as practicing our balancing on the balance beams – such a fun way to develop our gross motor skills!
Bumblebees
The Bumblebees have been getting crafty making Valentine’s paintings and cards. We have also been very busy learning some new numbers and shapes which the children have loved engaging with.
We are very excited to be putting up our super new Paw Patrol display, enjoying sand painting and exploring our mud kitchen nest week! Our lovely Bumblebees have loved getting messy this week so we are planning even messier fun next week!
Dragonflies
This week, as well as lots of Valentine fun, we have looked at how rainbows are made and the children have really engaged with this topic! They particularly loved painting pictures of colourful rainbows. We also opened up the sand area and had a super fun treasure hunt!
Next week the letter is X and the number is 21. The colour is yellow and the shape is oval. The Dragonflies are going to explore living in the jungle – making animals that live there, exploring what the jungle is like and investigating the jungle habitat on the smart board.
