Ladybirds

This week has been our “All about our Ladybirds” week and we have made a wonderful fingerprint map, some collage flags and some lovely portraits! We’ve also enjoyed a lot of messy sensory play with playdough, pasta play and flower ice play.

It will be Nature theme week next week and we are really looking forward to planting sunflowers and cress as well as decorating some plant pots!

Butterflies

We have been all about role play this week! We have been builders, been shopping, bathed and dressed babies and also really loved having a role play tea party! We also created a new toy farm and have been enjoying exploring the new farm animals.

We are very excited about making and baking some yummy biscuits next week! We will also have a strong focus on experiencing and exploring different sensory play.

Bumblebees

We have been getting so messy this week! The Bumblebees have loved and thoroughly engaged with all the different messy play activities. We have also made a new “Wow!” board this week and will be starting to fill this from next week onwards with all our littles ones wow moments.

We will be changing the display boards in the room next week, which we are looking forward to as it always brings fresh inspiration to the room. Watch this space…

Dragonflies

This week we have been exploring texture through exciting new messy play trays with water beads and sea animals, flour and polar bears and dinosaurs in mud! PE has been lots of fun this week focussing on the long jump as well as throwing and catching.

Next week the letter is O and the number is 7, the colour is purple and the shape is a circle. We are looking forward to making our new habitat display as well as getting stuck in in the kitchen cooking something yummy! We will also be making healthy funny faces out of fruit!
