Ladybirds
This week has been our food themed week and we have loved it – yummy! We had lots of fun in ice-cream play as well as making delicious pizzas and freezing fruit ice play! Our lovely babies particularly enjoyed exploring this week with their mouths!
Next week is our sports themed week! We are looking forward to a (very) mini Olympics, lots of soft play fun, football shirt making as well as tonnes of time in the tents and tunnels!
Butterflies
This week we have welcomed lots of new faces to the Butterflies room with open arms. We have especially enjoyed wibbly wobbly jelly play this week as well as getting stuck into lots of other messy play activities. The Butterflies have particularly loved splashing in the water tray and getting soaking wet! We have also enjoyed the bingo dabbers this week making lots of creative mess.
Next week we will say bye to our term time toddlers but look forward to seeing them after a lovely summer holiday in September. The rest of us will be enjoying plenty of fresh air and activity time in the garden as well as soft play, messy play and lots of quiet calm story time too.
Bumblebees
This week we have thrown ourselves into masses of musical sing-alongs in our book corner – it’s been lots of fun! We particularly enjoyed some special ice and ice cream messy play on Wednesday and also made some lovely playdough this week, creating plenty of interesting things with it.
Next week we are going to get involved with lots of scummy cooking and are really looking forward to some funny bubble painting.
Dragonflies
This week we have been exploring wonderful little minibeasts and making our own picture representations of them. We have also become vets getting into character since we changed our role play area, the children have really enjoy focusing on animals this week.
We are looking forward to our graduation ceremony next week although we will be super sad to say goodbye to our little ones leaving for big school! We are very excited about welcoming our stick insects to their new home in Dragonflies next week, we can’t wait to watch them grow. Also on the agenda for next week is colour exploration where we will be mixing colours for a new display.
