Ladybirds

This week in Ladybirds we have been having so much fun exploring the garden and splashing in all the water!! We have also really enjoyed our sensory messy play and in particular the flour play, pasta play and sensory dough.

Next week we are really looking forward to the Bell House 4th Birthday Party and dressing up! We will also be diving into a lot more sensory and messy play activities.

Butterflies

We have had a busy week in Butterflies! A world map has been put up to see where we have all been and are going on our holidays! We have been getting very wet and having lots of fun out in the garden. Inside, we have had a lot of focus on food play including weetabix play, pea play and flour play!

Next week we are welcoming a few new Ladybirds to the Butterflies room, their visits have gone very well so far and we can’t wait to welcome them permanently! Sophie has been away on holiday and Holly is currently on her honeymoon so we are really missing them and look forward to their return.

Bumblebees

This week in Bumblebees on of the highlights has been making treasure maps using tea bags as well as looking at lots of bugs outside in the wonderful bug hotel. We have also spent a lot of time and had masses of fun sorting out objects into different categories.

Next week we will be starting our playdoh bake off cake ready for the party on Wednesday! We will be dressing up and pirates and princesses and doing lots of fun activities – we can’t wait!

Dragonflies

We have had a big focus this week on how plants live and grow and continued to enjoy looking after our plants in the garden. The Dragonflies have also been getting arty and crafty with lots (and lots!) of glitter paint, junk modelling and making telescopes and binoculars!

Next week the focus letter is G and the number is 13. The shape is oval and the colour is dark green. We will be having oodles of fun next week making our own treasure maps and looking at space! Outside, we will be participating in lots of physical activities such a throwing and catching, target throwing, relay races, the balance bean and treasure hunts…We are also really looking forward to the Bell House birthday party on Wednesday and will be dressing up as our favourite book characters!
