Ladybirds
This week we have been doing lots of artwork for our new displays, they’re going to look fantastic! We have also enjoyed plenty of song time using animals and actions and been making friends with our new babies who have settled into Ladybirds really well.
Next week we will be continuing our arty crafty fun are looking forward to making the room even more vibrant, colourful and full of fun! We will also be scheduling in plenty of messy play and sensory fun and of course as much time as possible getting fresh air outside in the garden.
Butterflies
This week has been lovely and we have welcomed two new Ladybirds into our friendly Butterflies room – they are settling in really well and making lots of new friends. Last week the nursery held a playdough competition (to celebrate our 4th birthday) and the Butterfly room won!! We are very proud! This week we have made a display about one of our favourite songs “5 little ducks” using our handprints. We have also really enjoyed body painting and lots of bubbly water play too!
We will be trying to spend as much time as possible in the garden next week, getting some fresh air and some outside sensory experience! We will also be continuing with lots of water play, messy play and singing lots of songs next week too.
Bumblebees
We have really been enjoying getting involved with some textured tree rubbings for our Wheels On The Bus display this week and also making lots of aliens for our Space display! The Bumblebees have really loved water play outside this week, filling and emptying containers and watching the water pour down the drain pipes and catching it at the bottom!
Next week we will be continuing to get creative with our artwork for the display boards and starting to do activities involving fruit and veg before our trip…
Dragonflies
The Dragonflies have loved taking part in lots of role play – making a farmyard and making and playing castles! We have also enjoyed looking at moons and space in our messy play activities! We also carried on the space theme in our junk modelling, making spaceships! Our physical activity this week focussed on playing hop scotch, learning to dribble a football and really fun scooter races!
Next week the letter is U and the number is 15. The colour is light green and the shape is a circle. We are looking forward to further exploring textures next week as well as making some delicious cheese straws! We will also have a graduation ceremony on Wednesday for all of our school leavers including a picnic and party games afterwards.
