Ladybirds
This week we have been having plenty of fun with our usual sensory play but also doing lots of Easter activities including creating some wonderful artwork for our upcoming Easter display. Watch this space!
Next week we will be continuing the fun Easter theme as well as having an Easter party on the Thursday!
Butterflies
Preparations for our new birthday board started this week so do come along and check out what we have been doing. We also begun making our Easter gifts this week and can’t wait to get them finished off next week!
Next week we are continuing with the Easter fun and having an Easter party with party food and games for everyone to enjoy! We will also be having the usual exploratory fun within the different zones of the room.
Bumblebees
This week we have started to make lots of exciting Easter decorations which the children have really enjoyed! We have also been creating some fabulous Spring artwork for our new Spring displays.
Next week we are really looking forward to continuing with our Easter fun and especially making delicious crispy cake nests! We will also be starting our Spring tree…
Dragonflies
This week as been very enjoyable with the children involved in plenty of different activities such as junk modelling, marshmallow building, making yummy muffin pizzas and conducting science experiments with vinegar and bicarbonate of soda! We have also been tooth brush painting, going on a shape hunt, making clouds and suns for our day and night theme as well as super fun mud pie making!
The letter of the week next week is V and the number is 22. The shape of the week is a pentagon and the colour is pink! We will be starting our Easter gifts and cards and making scrummy nest cakes. We will also be making animal habitats and partaking in a really fun game about healthy and unhealthy food. We will be going on a bunny hunt as well as making some Easter chicks!
In other news…
We will be having an Easter party on Thursday (17th) from 3 – 4.30pm with lots of party fun and games! There will also be a competition for the best Easter Bonnet in each room! If you would like to take part then please make an Easter bonnet at home with your child and bring it to nursery on Thursday. If your child is not normally in on a Thursday and you would like to join in please let your room leader know (you will be more than welcome to bring your child in but must stay the duration of their visit)
