Ladybirds
This week we have had lots of fun exploring sensory activities with all kind of different resources including moon dough, pasta, lentils and scented playdough. The end of this week marked World Religion Day and we incorporated this into our activities making tissue paper stain glass windows, baking bread, making salt dough candle holders and lantern making.
Butterflies
This week we have been enjoying activities related to our animal theme. The Butterflies have been concentrating on underwater animals including playing and experimenting with water and making different animals for our underwater display. We have also been mixing different sensory materials together to see what happens and to help promote their fine motor skills.
Next week we will be exploring lots more sensory resources and linking it our animal theme, it should be fun!
Bumblebees
We have had a tremendous week in Bumblebees! We have finished our new display which looks great and we are going to be thinking about what we’d like to include on our Valentines board all ready for February! Feeling very organised. We have also got some lovely new role-play resources which we are very excited about and will be exploring next week.
Dragonflies
The letter was B and the number 18, the colour bronze and the shape triangle.
This week we have been concentrating on our theme of recycling – reduce, reuse and recycle! The children have taken to it really well! In particular we have been looking at where paper cups come from. We have also been exploring where we live and talking about what type of house we live in. We had fun making cheese straws as well this week – they were yummy! The Dragonflies also enjoyed a bit of focus time on using scissors and cutting out different shapes.
